BenQ MX880 is an ultra-short-throw projector designed for educational purpose. Its short throw distance is friendly for small to medium-sized classrooms. When manufacturing an ultra-short-throw projector, one should imagine it being used in a confined space. This example was designed on the assumption that it would normally be installed in a mounting suspended from the ceiling. The mirror section is fixed, keeping the number of components and joints between parts to an absolute minimum. We liked the fact that the projector’s very economical styling, with the emphasis on straight lines combined with quite strongly rounded corners, means that it wouldn’t stand out too much in an interior situation.
